101 in 1001: Get my hair cut short

On my 101 in 1001 list, I said I wanted to get my hair cut short. Well, I finally did it! I actually got my hair cut short! I say short. Short for me. You see, I've had long hair since the age of five. That's almost 15 years of always having long hair.

I booked myself in five days prior to the appointment and right up until yesterday, I was excited about getting my hair cut. However, waking up yesterday morning was a different story. I was nervous. I was worried it wouldn't suit me. After all, I was five the last time my hair was this short! 

Around came lunch and I made my way to the hairdressers full of dread. My hairdresser made a start on cutting my hair and all I could think about was how bad it was going to look and how I wasn't going to like it. It wasn't until he started to dry my hair that I began thinking it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. 

Despite the initial shock yesterday, I now really like it! My colleagues and my friends have all passed positive comments my way about it also. My mum and step dad, however, are currently on holiday so won't see it until Friday. My mum won't want to go on holiday again! Last time she went away, I picked her up from the airport in a new car and this time I'll be picking her up with a new haircut! Haha.
