60 Things To Do In 2015: Go a week without chocolate
So last week I finally was successful in going a week without chocolate. Yes, it was my third attempt, but you know what they say - third time lucky!
I tend to snack on chocolate mainly in the evening after I've been had my dinner and often either just before or just after my lunch when I'm at work. My main replacement was my Protein Shakes (vanilla flavour, PhD brand - if you were wondering) which I have aimed to have after my lunch hour as I try to spend most lunchtimes at the gym.
As we have had a birthday at work this week, there was all sorts of cakes and finger food in the kitchen - most of it was chocolate based but I managed to find a plain Swiss roll that I could have. It would just have been rude of me not to accept food, haha!
Last week was the perfect week to go without chocolate as I was busy all week. I have been out most evening which has stopped me from snacking on chocolate. You'd be impressed, I even turned down a kinder egg. You know, the ones with the yellow egg shaped thing inside the chocolate egg with the toys inside. Instead of eating them, I stole the toys in the photo below (a robot and the two Bears) from Tom.
I'm surprised at how infrequent my chocolate craving have been. I think I've only had the one chocolate craving all week which was on Tuesday or Wednesday. I also attempted this the previous week but my mum bought us both a chocolate dessert each which went out of date on the 7th of July - how could I turn down a triple chocolate dessert from Marks & Spencer?!
