To Watch: How To Be Single

I was quite intrigued by How To Be Single. The trailer set my expectations pretty high and I have to say, I was not disappointed! Chloe, Rosie and I were sat in the back row of the cinema showing, laughing throughout the majority of the movie!

Alice (Dakota Johnson) takes the whole movie to finally realise that she only talks herself out of doing the things she really wants to do when she's in a relationship. After being hung up on a couple of ex's, she finally realises that being alone is what she actually needs and, in realising so, she begins to do all of the things she had wanted to do for so long now and with her best friend, Robin, by her side for the most part.

Robin's (Rebel Wilson) outlook on life and 'how to be single' is brilliantly hilarious! But then again, Rebel pulls off that kind of role so well! She starts off at the beginning of the movie by saying that she only 'needs 500 square feet to store her clothes and occasionally bathe' but at the end of the movie we find out she actually has an amazing apartment and an 'indoor scooter' in her living room! 

During the week, a colleague and I were discussing the movie when we eventually moved onto the topic of Rebel Wilson and whether 'Rebel' is her real name or just stage name. According to Wikipedia, she was born Melanie Elizabeth Bownds.

All in all, How To Be Single is definitely a must see whether you re single or not purely for the comical sense! I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait until it comes out on DVD. Yes, I still buy DVDs as Netflix doesn't always have the movie you're after...
