Upcoming holidays of 2018

FriendsFest 2017

James and I have not long booked our holidays for the coming year. We've booked two trips for 2018, both of which I am very exciting about. While I would have liked to have fitted in a third trip, I don't think it would have been feasible. Two holidays is still pretty good going, considering I've only taken one holiday off island in over two years.

America: Beach to City

The first of our two holidays is set to be a very busy two weeks in America where we'll be visiting two different destinations. We'll be starting off in Miami for a week before jetting off to New York. Of course, we plan on seeing as many of the tourist hotspots as we can in what will feel like a short space of time. The fact that this trip is now all booked brings me so much joy.

We were originally looking at visiting L.A. during our trip to America but decided against it in the end. Seeing three cities in the space of two weeks would make the holiday too stressful. We would rather have a bit longer in two cities and enjoy ourselves in each rather than stressing out about flights and trying to fit everything in. We will, however, look at visiting L.A. next year.

Oktoberfest

I haven't been to Oktoberfest in about six years and this was an event held in Austria. With only being 14/15 years of age, I obviously wasn't able to enjoy it in all of it's glory. James went to Oktoberfest in Munich for a stag do in 2016 but they arrived towards the end of the event.

During our trip, we would also like to venture out a bit more and visit some other parts of Germany rather than spending our whole trip at Oktoberfest. All we need to book now is the little excursions and other tourist bits.

Even the mere thought of these holidays brings me pure joy. Having booked both holidays within the space of a month, my bank account is now faced with pure dread, haha!
