101 in 1001: Visit The Statue of Liberty, New York

We didn't technically visit the Statue of Liberty... But we did go past it twice on the boats to and from Staten Island. So I feel I can tick this one off as done? Unfortunately, my camera ran out of battery before we boarded the boat, so I surrendered my camera for my phone for the day, hence the blurry photos.

 

Later on in the day, we were chatting with some of the locals in Staten Island who told James and I about someone who climbed Lady Liberty on July 4th which then caused either a delay on the fireworks starting, or the cancellation of the dislay.
