To Watch: Pretty Little Liars

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH MY LIFE NOW PRETTY LITTLE LIARS IS OVER?!

Ever since Chloe and I compiled our to watch list last year, we were hooked on Pretty Little Liars! In all fairness, this was the first show we began binge watching. Chloe made her way through the seasons quicker than I until it to the start of season 7B.

As to be expected, Chloe and I are now left with more questions than what was answered from that last episode. I've heard rumours of a possible movie which I'm hoping happens because we still need answers! So much more can be done with that show. Even a whole season could be dedicated to a happy ever after for the girls. Even for Mona, who could effectively get the acceptance she's always craved from the girls and become a true member of the group, leading to her completely turning her life around.

Before I continue further, catch my end of season one review here and my pre season 7b post here. So, shall we go over the key points? Turn away now if you're not up to date!

The board game. 'End Game' is basically what season 7B is based around. Obviously the show is based on how Alison, Aria, Emily, Hana and Spencer deal with and figure out who A.D. is.

Alison got pregnant after her husband, Elliott Rawlands - who turned out to be Archer Dunhill - inseminated her with Emily's egg donations. Lets be realistic, it was already pretty obvious that was going to be the case, with the coverage of Emily's donations in season 7A when she was completely broke. It's also about time that those two actually got together! And now they're finally engaged and have their two little twin girls!

Mona killed Charlotte by accident. But c'mon! How didn't the police figure out what the murder weapon was by looking at the mark on her neck? Realistically, as a police officer inspecting a crime scene you'd be expected to look around more thoroughly for anything that could have been used in the murder.

Hanna killed Archer Dunhill by running him over at the end of 7A. The girls helped her burry the body in the woods but A.D. dug up the body and used it to hold over the girls. When A.D. told Aria she had won the game, Aria soon found the body in the trunk of her car immediately before getting pulled over by the police. Luckily, she narrowly escaped that one.

Mary Drake got arrested and confessed to the murder of her twin sister, Jessica Di Laurentis and Archer Dunhill to cover for Spencer, who we found out was Mary's daughter at the end of last season.

Toby and Yvonne got married, only for Yvonne to pass away due to the injuries caused by the car crash she and Toby were in at the end of 7B. As well as that wedding, Hanna and Caleb got married. They certainly took their sweet time in telling everyone they got hitched!

Now let's talk about that season finale!

A.D.! Alex Drake - Spencer's long lost secret evil twin. Just like what happened in the books, so I believe. I don't know how I feel about that as an ending though. I didn't want them to bring in a completely new character only to appear in one episode. For me I'm disappointed, End Game was meant to wrap things but now I have even more questions then I did before.

I was thinking it was likely to be the parents joining forces to prove how much they really knew about their children and to see how far the girls would go to lie to them. I also had my suspicions about Melissa, because where the hell has she been all season?! I read an article about how Hanna was A.D. and she faked her kidnapping to cover her tracks.

When Toby and the gang turned up to bust out Spencer and Ezra, Chloe and I couldn't even work out who was who between Alex and Spencer. I really didn't like the London accent on Alex though!

I'm so happy that Aria and Ezra did actually get married. After so much uncertainty, it's nice that they got their happy ever after. It would have been a shame for it to have been called off after Aria putting in so much effort into the planning and with all they had been through together.

The very last scene where Addison and her friends reinacted the first scene of season one, episode one of PLL didn't really give the show closure for me. I feel like they could so easily do a spin off on that friendship group and show how that group compare to the liars.

I've heard rumours of a movie and rumours of an Emison spin off. While I'd like to see an Emison spin off, I'm more about the movie! I feel they could do more with a movie. although another season could also be just as effective as I can't picture how they'd go about doing a movie

Charlotte.
