Five weekly positives #2
Another week over and done with already! I'm sure I've been a day ahead of myself all week though, which, I'd assume, would contribute to it passing in a heartbeat.
1. We had a cake sale at work on Friday in aid of Red Nose Day. I may or may not have spent £5 on 10 cakes. Well, 9 and 1 rock cake... In all fairness, the cakes weren't all for me - I gave two to my mum and three to my friend and I still have one left waiting for me. My colleagues were getting a bit worried on Thursday night as the only cakes we had were the 12 that I had bought in that evening. We needn't have worried as we actually had loads! We still have some left over today!
2. My first full two day weekend since January. This has been so nice! I haven't actually had your normal two day weekend since January as I spent the majority of February at work. Throughout the whole month I only had four days off in total, all of the which were spread out.
3. Tax rebate. Coming home from work on Thursday to find a letter sat on the table from Mr Tax Man saying I was owed a rather large sum of money was pretty great! Unfortunately, I'm fully aware that I won't be getting anything back next year, so Mr Tax Man won't be so nice then.
4. Exercise classes. This week I've tried two new exercise classes - CXWORX and BodyPump. Both are classes created by Les Mills that are taught at my work. CXWORX is designed for your core, and boy, did my stomach hurt the next day! BodyPump is a class based around weights. When I booked into the class, I thought it was only 45 minutes. Little did I know it was actually an hour! I didn't mind - I actually quite like Pump, although my triceps and my chest still ache two days later!
5. Meeting my friends new hamster, Beckham. My friend got a hamster earlier this week, and today was the first time I got to meet him. He's a little cutie!
Hope you've had a good week!
Charlotte.
