60 Things To Do In 2015: Get a canvas photo
I love looking through photos! My room already has loads of photos scattered across the walls and on shelves. So you're probably thinking 'does she really need a canvas photo?' Well, yes - my love for looking through photos is one the reasons that 'Getting a canvas photo' made it onto this years list. But I didn't just get one, I got two!
I placed my order almost two weeks ago and was told I should expect it within seven days. Seven days passed and I still hadn't received them. My guess was that since I live in the Channel Islands it would take abit longer since I ordered them from a UK company. But then I saw the return address was in Germany, so now I'm left guessing that's the reason.
Thursday (this week) came and still no sign of my canvases. I thought that with Easter Weekend being upon us, I wouldn't receive my order until next week at the earliest but I was very surprised when they arrived this morning. I was in the kitchen doing the dishes, when I looked outside and saw the postman pull up. I knew he was visiting me and I knew exactly what he would present me with.
The box was the perfect size to fit both prints in without having too much excess space. The prints were also wrapped in tissue paper to provide extra protection. It also made me more excited to unwrap them see the final outcome.
I'm over the moon with how the prints turned out and they are so much better than I was expecting. The longer delivery time was worth the wait as they both look great! In my opinion, at least. Choosing just one photo was a tough choice for me to make, hence why I chose two.
This first print was taken during the summer of 2014, on a picnic we had at the park. I'm sure the four of us have a summer picnic every year! I guess it wouldn't be summer for us without a cute little picnic at the park.
This next photo is probably one of my favourite photos of myself and Sj. I got this framed for her awhile ago as I know how much she also loves it. Throughout the six years we have known each other, this is our favourite one.
I spent quite some time trying to find a website that would print my photos deliver to the Channel Islands for a reasonable price. Let me tell you now, it did take me awhile, but once I found the site, it didn't take long at all to get my final two choices processed! And they were a fantastic price as well! The 20cm by 20cm print was only £7 and the 30cm by 20cm was £11!
I'm super happy with how the quality of both prints and how cheap they both were!
Charlotte.
